The media on the right is rallying the troupes using racism. The proof is in their words. When Obama gets shot they will have blood on their hands.

Fox News

“Fair and balanced” Fox News aggressively promotes “tea party” protests: The first Tea Party on July 4th was agressivly promoted by Fox News. Media Matters goes into great detail the lengths the network took to get people to the event. This was not a grass roots event. It was a well orchestrated rally created by conservative leaders. The briliance in the playbook is the pawns that went think it was grassroots. [http://mediamatters.org/reports/200904080025]

Fox News keeps Glenn Beck on the air despite 62 advertisers pulling their ads: Glen Beck’s pattern of race-baiting and fear-mongering has dropped his ad revenue by an estimated $568,000 per week yet they still refuse to fire him. Apparently Fox News is only ”Fair & Balanced” if you are a hate monger. [Color of Change Boycot, [9/14/09]

Glenn Beck

The leader of the lunatic fringe is Glenn Beck. He gets the wingnuts riled up with lies, spin and good old fashion racism. He had a big part in getting those angry white people to the Tea Parties and the Town Halls.

Beck is full of hate. Below are two instances of Beck calling Obama and Sotomayor a racist. He also admits that he hates some of the victim’s families of 9/11 and the Katrina victims. This guy is a real douche bag.

Beck declairing that he hates the victims families of 9/11 and the victims of Katrina: “You know it took me about a year to start hating the 9-11 victims’ families? Took me about a year. And I had such compassion for them, and I really wanted to help them, and I was behind, you know, “Let’s give them money, let’s get this started.” All of this stuff. And I really didn’t — of the 3,000 victims’ families, I don’t hate all of them. Probably about 10 of them. And when I see a 9-11 victim family on television, or whatever, I’m just like, “Oh shut up!” I’m so sick of them because they’re always complaining. And we did our best for them. And, again, it’s only about 10.”

“But the second thought I had when I saw these people and they had to shut down the Astrodome and lock it down, I thought: I didn’t think I could hate victims faster than the 9-11 victims.”

“And that’s all we’re hearing about, are the people in New Orleans. Those are the only ones we’re seeing on television are the scumbags.” [The Glenn Beck Program, [9/09/05]

Beck claims Sotomayor is a racist: “I don’t know exactly, I don’t know where to go on our Supreme Court Justice nominee. And here’s why I say that. I think the woman is a racist.”

Beck claims Obama is a racist: Discussing Obama’s response to the arrest of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates, Beck asserts that Obama has “a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture.” After being reminded that Obama has numerous white staffers, Beck contradicted himself, stating, “I’m not saying that he doesn’t like white people. I’m saying he has a problem,” before going on to state, “this guy is, I believe, a racist.”

Verdict: Racist. When someone calls people racist who are not you can pretty much gurantee the person doing the name calling is. Glenn Beck has made truly hateful statements and people still watch him. As of this post 60 advertisers have pulled their ads from Glenn Becks show due to the comments above. What station other than Fox would keep a guy like this? You never hear of any conservatives complaining about Beck’s racism which says to me that his audience is mostly racist. Glenn Beck is the main promoter of the Tea Baggers. Which means, yes, the Tea Baggers are mostly racist. See Beck, I can jump to wild conclusions too. You jackass.

Lou Dobbs

Dobbs racial freudian slip: Noting that some people have criticized the use of the terms “swine flu” and “Mexican flu,” Lou Dobbs said that the “idiots referring to it now as ‘H1N1 virus’ ” are “out of their cotton pickin’ minds.

Dobbs calls Sotomayor’s “wise Latina” comments “racist”:

Phil Griffin, the president of MSNBC and Lou Dobbs’ boss had this to say about the Birther’s claim that the President is not a citizen: “It’s racist. Just call it for what it is.” [Media Matters, [7/24/09]

NAACP’s response to Dobb’s fixation on Obama’s birth certificate:

“Mr. Dobbs cannot get past his extremist fixation with President Obama’s citizenship.”

“Any ethical journalist would not spread unfounded and clearly mendacious rumors that fan the flames of racial hatred and division.  We urge Mr. Dobbs to adhere to journalistic standards and assure that the stories he perpetuates are based in fact.” [NAACP.org [8/04/09]

Dobbs (King of the Birther’s) won’t let Obama birth certificate go: “If you can’t ask that question … what kind of society do you want?” A week after the Media finally caved and admitted that Obama was a Natural Born citizen Dobbs still wouldn’t let it go. He was clearly looking to bring the racists over to his show.

Dobbs defends Beck over statement that Obama “has a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture”

Verdict: Racist. He is old school but that does not excuse a journalist from using the term “Cotton Pickin”. Joe fed the Birther mania for a record two months. Even after the NAACP gave a statement calling his actions racist he continued. During that time he also called Sotomayor racist. Again a smooth reverse racist move that unfortunately only highlights the racism in the person saying it.

I need a break before I get to the following. There is going to be way to much data on all of them.
